The bathing part would go without incident, but once the scissors and/or trimmers came out - FORGET ABOUT IT. We received the phone call asking us to come and pick up our furry kids, and were told they couldn't groom them.EVER.My husband and I were then faced with the task of giving our pups the dreaded "home do." After much searching, we discovered the Scaredy Cut. The heavens opened. Angels sang. No, seriously - it happened.Thankfully, these scissors make it virtually impossible to screw up the home hair cut. She kept getting mats around her armpits and chest and trying to cut them out with regular scissors was extremely nerve wracking for me and my bf and seemingly painful for the cat. I liked the idea of giving her a mane and chest all-around cut and I bought this because it also had a tool to break up the mats.The first scissors I received had issues with the screw and they kept felling apart, but the company sent a replacement right away! They were very apologetic and really seemed to care. So A+ to service.When it came time to actually use the scissors, my cat was very not happy since I think all the previous times we tried to get her mats out traumatized her. My boyfriend had to hold her down since she was very squirmy and I cut. Her haircut ended up being very choppy looking, but she was so relieved when her mane was finally gone!! Over the next couple days, she ended up working her mats out by herself and we found them around the house lol. As her hair is growing in a little more, the unevenness is less noticeable. I'm sure we could try to hold her down and even it out more but I don't wanna bother her, and honestly the price of these was worth it even if we just use it once a year. We would have had to take her to a groomer instead since the mats were very obviously bothering her, and I don't want to subject her to that kind of trauma!
