**Q: does it come with a chess board? if not, do you sell the matching board? i am asking because i was able to purchase a whole set w/ board in the UK. tx**
A: No chess board. Be sure to get a large one since the pieces are larger than most common chessmen.

**Q: What size base are the squares?  What is the minimum sized board for these sets (that doesn't look cramped)?**
A: The minimum size of a square would be 2 inches.  2.25 inches is perfect.  The pieces are quite large.
