It wasn’t very loud at all and I was able to relax with the mist in my face. The steam felt like it was a good amount, and the heat level was very good. You can’t make any adjustments on the steam level though. The base can feel warm to the touch so just be careful if you are sensitive to heat but it wasn’t an unsafe level at all. The only demerit I wild take away a half a star, if I could would be that the cord isn’t very long which is nice in terms of storage but not necessarily functionality because you will have to sit near an outlet.
