The plastic that the caps are made of is EXTREMELY fragile. Out of the 6 bottles, 2 caps remain unbroken in a couple months time. We do not put these through the dishwasher..we hand wash them only. I watched an empty bottle tumble out of my daughters back pack, fall two feet onto a tile floor, and the cap shattered.
