Ryo-Ohki is the third season of the Tenchi Muyo! OVA series, picking up after the events of "Here Comes Jurai!"This season contains three main plot arcs: - Tenchi finds himself subject to an arranged marriage and his fiancée comes to the Masaki house, which sends all of the other girls into a fit; - Misao, Mihoshi's brother, comes to Earth in a massive battleship to "rescue" Mihoshi from Tenchi's evil, woman-hoarding ways; - The secrets, depths, and origin of Tenchi's powers are finally revealed, as well as the extent of involvement of Tokimi, Tsunami, and Washu.In true Tenchi fashion, each of these stories is explored in sometimes-overdone comedy combined with emotional storytelling. The additional introductions of Tenchi's sister and Katsuhito's wife, and more information on the death of Tenchi's mother, make this season a must-add to any Tenchi collection.One important thing to note: Ryo-Ohki was released in 2004, which is 10 years after the release of the original OVA collection. This means that unfortunately some of the original cast, such as Petrea Burchard (the OVA 1/2 voice of Ryoko), did not return and so were recast; additionally, the animation style is noticeably different, which may throw some viewers off if they're not expecting it. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The last 1/3 of the Tenchi Muyo OVA series *by W***D on Reviewed in the United States 🇺🇸 on April 8, 2013* It took me a while to decide whether to buy this because of some reviews saying it was only a partial product. Technically true: this is the last 1/3 of the OVA series, and completes the story told if you bought the "Tenchi Muyo!: OVA Series".I'm very happy I did buy this, because in countless ways, the OVA series (completed by this Ryo-Ohki set and continued by the GXP series) is superior to the Tenchi Universe and that is my personal opinion that I won't bore anyone with.In any case, I had already purchased the OVA and GXP series, and would have been missing out if I hadn't found out that this Ryo-Ohki set goes in the middle.
