Rubbermaid LunchBlox Lunch Bag, Small, Black Etch

This bag held up for more than a year without being damaged . That is a major plus for me

I fell down a terrible Amazon rabbit hole looking for a lunchbag...terrible and long. I have a tendancy to default to the philosphy that more expensive is better. While this is often useful and accurate, it turns out that in this case, it was completely wrongheaded. I also tend to get distracted by the 'shiney'--so pretty patterns and style took quite a while for me to work through. This one, however, ticked all my boxes--shoulder strap, not too big so it wouldn't take too much room in a shared fridge, had dual exterior pockets (one for a water bottle, the other for a thermal coffee mug). It had it all. So I gave in, and paid less. I was slightly put off by reviews that showed seam failures but figured that if that happened, I hadn't spent that much. In the end, I could not be happier with this. It does tick all the boxes, and after 6 months of daily work week use, still does. As for those reviews which show it shredded...what are these people eating for lunch?...bricks?...lead weights...I don't get it? I abuse it with the water bottle, coffee mug daily, and often an extra soda can in the interior, and I have not had even a suggestion of seam failure or shredding or anything. What could these people be carrying in it? I also satisfied the spending urge by getting the Rubbermaid Lunchblox, which snap together with blue ice freezer packs--so probably don't need to use the shared fridge at all but I do this out of habit, haven't really tested it truthfully. If I did, I suspect it would be fine--it's a lunch bag, so how how long does it need to stay cold afterall--it's not intended for extended camping trips, it's a lunch box!...for the middle of the work day...what? 5h? I think it's fine, and if I really think about it, being a little thawed it would take less time in the shared microwave. As for the 'shiney' concern--look at other reviews. Other owners have colored the white areas to personalize their lunch box, that should clue you in, in a strange way, because it indicates that people like it so much, that they actually spend the time to personalize it. No greater testimony than that could be asked for--let that sink in, people spend time to color it. Finally I do have one complaint--the exterior carry pockets are different. One is meant to carry a water bottle so is more accomodating and has a floor, the other is a simple mesh pocket without a floor--I can still get my coffee mug in it and it hasn't failed in any way...still it would be nice, if it knew it's real life purpose. Have no fear in purchasing this, it's great.

This was my daily lunchbag for years (I ended up buying 2 of them-) Main compartment big enough for lunch and snack, and I absolutely love the spots for water bottles/drinks. I often worked 12 hour shifts, so having the room to hold enough meal for the day was a major decision in getting this punchbag. Now, mind you, I'm not taking 'hungry man' proportion meals, so take that into consideration. Also, since my meals were mostly salad and I worked indoors, I cannot rant or rave about the efficacy of the 'cooler' portion- it kept things a good temperature for me, but if you are trying to keep things cold or working in extreme outdoor temperatures -I cannot vouch one way or another for it on that measure.

Let me start off by saying that I JUST got this today, and it has not been put to use yet. And once I do put it to use for awhile, I'll definitely be updating my review.But at first glance, you know how it is when you order online - especially when you haven't seen the product in stores - you never really know if you're getting what it appears to be in the picture. In this case, it looks great! It's exactly what I expected.I bought the Rubbermaid Lunch Blox Entree Kit, and needed a nice bag to fit them in. I took a wild guess and went with this bag just because it is the same line as the tupperware I bought, and I was overwhelmed with looking at all the other lunch bag choices out there.The bag looks exactly as pictured. I did notice that the zipper gets a little stuck when it's going around the curve at the top, presumably because it's catching on the insulation inside. Hopefully it won't be an issue and will just be a little difficult to get around that part. That's one of the reasons why I deducted 1 star.Beyond that, it's a pretty funky/neat design - the grungy white lines on the front, and black throughout. There are 2 mesh pockets on each side on the outside, which you can put beverages or whatever else in. When you open it up, there's also 2 small mesh pockets on the inside cover. These could be used for silverware, napkins, etc. - not sure what else they would be used for besides that.This bag fits my Lunch Blox Entree Kit perfectly. It fits standing up width-wise, and there is just enough room on top of the kit to add a few more pieces of tupperware if you want, or a bag of chips or something. It totally fits just right with room to spare!There is a small handle on top, as well as a removable, longer carrying strap. I took mine off and put it in one of the outside pockets.One other thing I don't like is... after I do a little test run with mine, I wanted to buy a set of these for my boyfriend as well - the same kit and bag, but was bummed that there is only one other bag design and it's kind of girly (and doesn't come in the Medium size like this one is, so it wouldn't fit the same kit). I looked on the Rubbermaid website too and all they had was Small/Medium in Black Etch and Blue Circle, and Medium in Black Etch. Lame!

El tamaño es genial , es muy practica y aunque parece pequeña , en realidad se puede acomodar muchos recipientes. El diseño también es muy padre.

Es muy bonita y está bastante bien hecha com materiales de calidad. Ideal para un niño, no tan ideal para un adulto en este tamaño

For years I've been using a two part Velcro lunch bag. It's been great but now and then the Velcro comes away when carrying, if I place too heavier items in it. Mine was getting a bit shabby, so decided on a new one... but wanted a zip up one. This Rubbermaid medium is ideal for me. On the side I can put my drink, inside fits my salad round or oblong lunch box, 2 bags of crisps, fruit, choc bars and yoghurt pot. The thing I like about it most, is that the zip is at the front, which means I can get to my lunch easier, and there is no strain on the handle when carrying. The only down side is the choice of colour... if would have been nice if there were other feminine smart colours available.

When this arrived, I was shocked at how skinny this bag is. I thought I’d made a mistake but luckily I quickly discovered that narrowness is very deceiving. There is actually a ton of room in this bag and the dual zipper makes this bag easy to pack and unpack. The mesh pocket for a water bottle is also very convenient. Because of the atypical shape of this bag, I find it’s easier to carry by hand but does take up more depth in the backpack. Not the best if you want something flatter and wider. Happy with the purchase and would recommend. Fits the Rubbermaid containers perfectly!
