I have a 2.5 in Southwest Florida and it's OLD but still working great. I went with 2 tablets per month because that's what I found to work best, meaning not only minimizing clog opportunities but freshening the air. It might really depend on your unit age and environment so while I'm keeping this old thing running (electric bill still reasonable), someone with a newer unit may not need 2 per month.
