It definitely feels good, is easy to use, and helps to stretch out the tendons and muscles in the bottom of of the foot. I have tried to put it in the freezer after seeing other reviews that the using it cold provides extra relief but I dont feel it gets very cold and the little amount of cold it absorbs fades pretty fast. It is smaller than I thought from the picture, about the size of a hot dog bun in length, but it's fine for use on on the bottom of the foot. If you need something to throw on the floor and roll your foot around on to relieve foot tension, plantar fascitis, or achilles pain, this is a nice little tool to have on hand.
