It’s not the biggest opening but if you have a small grater I’m sure you could grate it directly over it. I hope that helps! **Q: Does this make Hot chocolate using cacao nibs ?** A: I’ve used chocolate flakes to make hot chocolate in it. Loves it and hot chocolate has never tasted so good. I use it for my coffee. YES!!!I absolutely do. A lot cheaper than other products. We are all feeling the pinch so what better way to relax than with a hot chocolate made with this product, in a oodie/hoodie on the sofa in front of the TV watching Strictly. BLISS. ### ⭐ Brilliant when it worked at beginning then stopped working and unable to return faulty item *by N***E on 3 March 2023* I bought this as a birthday present for my wife and for the first three to four weeks after purchasing it it was absolutely brilliant. I was originally going to purchase a more expensive brand but thought I would give this a go and my wife was very impressed with it. At the start it was excellent at making hot milk, hot chocolate and amazing milky coffees etc. We looked forward to using it every evening as well as my young daughters, making hot chocolate or hot milk with them. Unfortunately three to four weeks after receiving it the product just stopped working. My wife went to turn it on one day and nothing happened. I changed the fuse in the plug which made no difference. We could not see anything obvious as to why it would just not turn on. It just appeared to be dead. It was always regularly cleaned as per the instructions. Unfortunately we have attempted to return the item to get a replacement only to see the "return window" is only four weeks and have no option of getting a replacement with the seller. I assumed there would be a year guarantee of some kind. Sadly what started as a really good product has ended up faulty with no option of getting a replacement from seller. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ As good as the velvetiser as half the price. *by Y***S on 31 May 2022* The media could not be loaded. Like a lot of people I found myself drawn into the excitement and luxury of a hot chocolate machine this winter and after some deliberation, and with friends and family raving about the velvetsiser, I opted for this Lakeland hot chocolate maker due to the cheaper price and just as good online reviews.After having it for 6 months and using it several times a week (at least) I can happily say I’m not in the slightest bit disappointed.For transparency though I should point out that we’re actually in our second machine now due to the first one stopping working for what seemed like no reason after only a week. Thankfully Lakeland were AMAZING and we had a new one sent out within 12 hours of raising it with them (before we’d even sent the old one back) and we’ve had no issues what’s so ever with the second machine.Now on to the review of the machine itself.
