I bought them to fill some white space on some signs I have hanging above my bed. They were so easy to apply, I cut out each individual decal so I could lay them and get an idea of placement before adhering. When it came to sticking them I used a plastic gift card to smooth out each one. Some I left overlapping but some I had to cut down to look layered, they are pretty sheer so if you want the overlapping look you'd have to trim to the size you need. The clear parts are very transparent (suggest using a card or something to smooth for that purpose). My bed is a king size for size reference and I had so many left over for any other projects I might find use for.
