This toy was recommended by my son's therapist as something to use for some calming time as he really enjoys the challenge of putting it back together after smashing it apart on the floor :-) It takes some concentrating, which helps him calm down.And the rest of the family enjoys playing with it as well. It's a fascinating toy!

Cool toy building set

My eight year old son loves this ball! Although it comes with a book of "design ideas" the best way to play is to just...play. Get to know the ball! Getting the basic ball shape is pretty easy, however, I find some of the other designs a bit challenging, and so does my son. Sometimes the black and white drawings are hard to follow and the outcome is, well...not the same. It's not the ball's fault, it's me, but putting on a stoic face for my son while battling the inner frustration is probably the hardest part. I'm not really great with puzzles (or riddles) so remember, it's not the ball, it's me. However, if you approach this puzzle in a relaxed manner and just have fun...you'll love this toy.PS The price is a bit high, but the ball is made well and has a good weight to it.

...the shapes are pointy but I think I can make it work with enough lubricant. Magnets are the best. I love these magnets. Great ball of magnet shapies.
