Review: At Last, For Baritone Ukulele Players! - These songbooks (Daily Ukulele and Leap Year Daily Ukulele) have been available for soprano/concert/tenor ukes for some time, and they are terrific resources for individuals and groups. But until recently I did not know there was a baritone version. (Baritone ukulele's have a different tuning from the smaller ukuleles, so the chords are different.) It is fun to play easy, three chord songs, but for those who like a little more nuance and harmonic complexity, there are songs in here for you too! The comb binding makes it easy to use on a music stand where it will lie flat. The overall size is sufficient that the music can be read at a distance (much better than a "pocket size" book for folks with older eyes :-) There is a wide variety of songs and styles in this collection, and the arrangements are very good. Either or both books are a wonderful reference for group playing and singsongs. I can hardly wait for a baritone version of the Daily Ukulele Leap Year book.
Review: Worth the purchase - I am a bari-uke newbie, and a newbie to strummed instruments. As others have mentioned, this book has great and fun variety and is well organized. I love that at the upper corner there is a "First Note" diagram to help find the starting pitch and each song includes chord diagrams for all the chords in the song. Cons: The chord diagrams don't indicate finger-number placement. That might not be a problem for experienced players, but experienced players probably don't need the diagrams anyway. Solution: write the finger numbers below the diagrams. After all, I own the book so I can write in it, but it would be nice if that was already included. Though I appreciate the "First Note" diagram for songs that I am familiar with, for songs that I am partially or completely unfamiliar with, that starting pitch doesn't help with the rest of the notes. I wish the book included a tablature staff, not only for learning a new-to-me tune but so that I could learn to pick the tune without the aid of a piano. The trade-off of adding a tablature staff would double the size of an already very thick book, which would likely mean reducing the number of songs and more books. Eventally, I suppose I will learn to pick the notes from the treble clef, a skill I should learn anyway. Given the choice, I would be happier to buy two books that include the tablature staff, over one without. Pros: Despite the two cons, this book is really great and worth the purchase. I concure with the possitive reviews by others.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good collection for someone new to uke
*by O***O on July 21, 2019*

Good variety of tunes. The books I already have are jazz and blues, for piano or guitar, so this is a more fun collection. I’m starting to bring my new baritone to our Saturday jams, using some tunes in the book. I feel bad for the reviewer who found the chords too complex. I agree the dim and sus chords can be difficult and you need a strategy to approach them. What he or she probably needs is something instructional, leading up to the chords. In fact my guess is that after learning five or six tunes, you probably would have picked up most of the basic chords and for many tunes you wouldn’t need the little charts at the top.
