They fold flat, about the thickness of a few pieces of paper. Lightweight and the reinforced plastic with the d ring made toting easy. I loved how the bottom expanded once filled so the bottle then stood upright, although I never had a leakage issue if laid on side. I recommend without hesitation. The sellers I used were very fast. Pleased beyond with service and product.

Used for hiking the narrows, they are ok. Have a plastic taste but good to use as an ice pack or maybe emergency water when ice melts
