For best results, apply the tape to a clean surface at room temperature: 1. Keeping liner on tape, cut tape to desired size. This tape is probably much thicker than your canvas. It should stick, but if you fold your cover enough times it may come off leaving a sticky mess. **Q: Is it suitable for polycarbonate?** A: This stuff is so permanently sticky - I would guess that it will work. I used it underwater to patch the pool - literally, the holes were underwater and I had to dive down to place the patches. Worked like a charm (heavy gauge plastic liner). I haven't used the tape anywhere else yet, but it seems that it will stick forever to nearly anything. So, I don't know for sure about polycarbonate, but it's worth a shot. I have worked with a lot of glues and tapes - this one is by far the best ever. **Q: Can you peel it off easy?** A: No it is not easy to peel off. This not actually like a tape.
