Does it hold up as well to it as Tomoe River?** A: I bought this paper mainly because it handles fountain ink extremely well and is still fairly light weight without costing as much as Tomoe River. I still prefer the smoothness of TR but this paper is my second choice. When I saw this question I pulled out a sheet and tried watercolor. I was amazed at how well it can handle it. Colors blend well and I used a lot of watercolor to see if the paper could take it and it did. I got absolutely no bled through to the other side which I sometimes get in Tomoe River paper. The crinkles don’t feel the same as Tomoe River but I’m sure the weight of this paper is part of the reason for that. **Q: Is this real a4 size or fake a4 size? (real a4 size is 210 × 297 millimeters or 8.27 × 11.69 inches)** A: 210*297 **Q: Reviews say it's not as good as tomoe river. but will it still give nice sheen and shading? i'd like affordable fp paper that still highlights shading** A: It's much heavier than Tomoe River, and not as smooth. The sheening is great (OS Walden Pond). It's absorbent enough that the shading is only adequate (Diamine Autumn Oak). Because it's heavier than Tomoe River there is much less ghosting (almost none) and no bleed-through at all. Come over to the Goulet Nation Facebook Group, ask the same questions and I can show you photos. The only thing I would recommend more is if you can find a reasonably priced 32 lb (120 gsm) laser printer paper. **Q: Some say this is is very smooth paper and some say it's rough. Which is correct?** A: I wouldn’t call it rough by any means.
