This book set is a great intro for bedtime/storytime for young ones. The Little Golden Book series was a staple in my childhood as well, so I had no problem giving this series a shot due to the brand name and topic alone. However, I was not expecting the story to be as well done for toddlers or young children as it is. It follows the series (episodes I-VI) in a clear way that adults will remember, but also limits the violence and more adult tones as wont for a children's story. As such, I believe that I had had as much fun reading these to my son as he did looking at the vivid illustrations (he now loves Yoda!). Each book is perfect for short storytime and can be read through with a young one in 1-2 sittings easily. I am definitely a fan and will look to purchase the other Star Wars Golden Book titles (as well as the future episode VII edition hopefully!). Review: COLORFUL , BRIGHT AND SMALL - Got it for my 5 yr old. He loves StarWars and has been reading my Omnibus from DarkHorse Comics but needed aomething lighter for him. To read and carry around. This is just the perfect Xmas gift for him!!!! The stories are actually rather long too which is nice for a little golden book. And they do a good job of breaking down the plots to the movies as well. They even have great attention to detail.
