My hair ends up kind of dry and not that smooth. So I've been using the shampoo paired with a different conditioner I have. Also, the smell is ok. I am not getting the wet dog smell that others have mentioned - I think it smells fine when I use it. But, it doesn't leave your hair smelling fresh like other shampoos/conditioners.
