Directions also say to add flux, Is it in fact Rosin Core?.** A: If the roll of solder you received from this page does not say: "44" ROSIN CORE - on the right side, in the yellow stripe, then it is not the solder you paid for. I am 66 years old, learned to solder electronic components by having to complete a full 16 hour course during my electronics training in the USAF back when I had just hit 18. ALL the solder provided to work on the aviation and aerospace gear I dealt with while in service was Kester "44" with 60/40 ratio. PERIOD. I still have a few empty spools from back then. The only difference is they were metal spools back then, and the label was a paint-printed like a soda can. BUT the label looked the same (1971-75) then as it does now. It quite definitely says that is it rosin cored.
