On my assessments, I listen to the breath and bowel sounds mostly but I will also listen to heart sounds as well. I’m not going to lie, I’m not the best at hearing a murmur or other abnormalities. I mainly listen for the lub dub sound. I will say that I do love the color choices that this particular stethoscope has to offer. I was having a hard time on deciding which one I really wanted. There was 3-4 colors that I really liked. I almost bought two of them as I’m a very indecisive person to begin with and the price isn’t bad at all. I think the color I chose was blue ice, which is a light see-through blue color. Really cool!! I’ve never seen these colors before with a quality stethoscope! The proprietary design allow the practitioner to tune the frequency by altering chestpiece pressure - light pressure for lower frequency response, firmer pressure for higher frequency. At 150 grams its quite a bit heavier than the ultralightweight 609 and that extra mass further enhances acoustic performance. Its also got a lifetime warranty. For a general stethoscope it is worth 5 times what you pay compared to any Littmann, which I replaced it with (Cardiology III).
