My kids and I spend a lot of time in the car and we all wanted to be able to charge our devices at the same time. Each port on this charger delivers a different amount of power. If the top port is used, the device uses battery life more quickly than it is charged. Even the most powerful port charges very slowly when devices aren't in use. The charger pops out of my cigarette lighter frequently, so the charger starts and stops frequently, causing an obnoxious buzzing by our Apple devices every time the charger restarts.
