Amaretto is the sweet biscuit pastry from which "Amaretti" are made. Born in Italy in the Middle Ages, towards the end of the thirteenth century have become popular in Arab countries, and during the Renaissance in Europe. They are now spread all across Italy, in various recipes with small differences. 
"Cantuccini" (a special coffee bread) are twice-baked cookies (or biscuits) originating in the Italian city of Prato. The biscuits are oblong-shaped almond biscuits, made dry and crunchy through cutting the loaf of dough while still hot and fresh from baking in the oven. They are ideal for being sopped up in your favourite liquor. Almond 19,5%! 
"Savoiardi" (also known as "Ladyfingers") are light and sweet sponge cakes roughly shaped like a large finger. They are a principal ingredient in many dessert recipes, such as trifles, charlottes, and tiramisu. They are typically soaked in a sugar syrup or liqueur, such as coffee for the tiramisu dessert. 
The Italian "Sfogliatine glassate" are puff-pastry cookies, with a melting taste, ideal for being enjoyed accompanying your daily tea or coffee ritual.
