Parts were well protected from each other but they used paper in between some parts that stuck to the wood and was difficult to remove. This is not teak but "teak colored" FYI. It is that tight-grained lightweight wood that seems to be used in a lot of products that come from China/Asia (I think Acacia?). Went together easily and seemed pretty solid. I have an ongoing complaint about products like this that there are no directions regarding torque and it is easy to strip the wood if you overtighten the screws. Pads are just on the edge of being too thin (I saw the back pads first which are very thin and thought YIKES!). I can't imagine this being outside furniture however. I suspect rain and sun will age this to yuckiness in less than a year. I am using it in a sun room and believe it will be fine. I was disappointed that my delivery instructions weren't followed AT ALL! Thankfully I have a 15 year old son to help me get it from the package room up to my second level apartment.Assembly was easy, took longer than it should but that's having a 15yr old help you! Lol. All the parts were there and everything lined up properly (when putting together properly 🤣Quality - I was pleasantly surprised considering such mixed reviews of the product across multiple site! BUT sad to say that there is some damage..seemed it was still sticky from being stained and wrapped too soon. The brown wrapping is stuck to quite a number of areas, some are hidden, but frustrating! I am booming it comes of with a damp cloth. Putting it together was easy enough. It is SMALL however. It would be good or an apartment patio/deck. I'm average size 5'7" 150# and it's comfortable enough for me but if you are looking for a more roomy or plush seating, this isn't it. Anyone heavier, closer to 200#, it wouldn't be as good of a choice, it cracks and creaks under a lot of weight and the people just look awkward sitting on it. It serves it's function I suppose.
