Loved these books :) History buffs have comments to make about more correct historical books to read, but keeping in mind that these books are Historical Fiction! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Conquering Gaul *by E***N on February 22, 2025* In this third of five novels about Rome and Caesar, we go to Gaul and Britain. Sometimes real history is almost too amazing to believe, as are the books about Julius Caesar. He travels to Gaul, links up with Mark Antony, and proceeds to tame the wild tribes of the land. He also takes a massive fleet of ships to invade Britain, only to be forced to return to Gaul and deal with the rebel king Vercingetorix. With each book in the Emperor series I can sense how the author grows more and more professional. He no longer makes mistakes in naming the war machines of the Roman legions. Now they are ballistae, onagers, and scorpion bows (and no more catapults). I didn’t find a single mistake in the book, although the formatting of the Kindle book failed, maybe something went wrong with the download. When I go to chapters, it only shows one bullet point. The rest is gone, as is the cover. Also it doesn’t show page numbers, which is really annoying. I tried deleting the book and reloading it with no different result.
