The dog ramp was pretty steep, and we needed a carpet that had some pile to it and was going to hold up to the wear and tear of our dog running up and down the ramp. This carpet running works out great. We bought the blue, 2 feet x 4 feet. The pile is perfect, so her nails can grasp the carpet as she gets enough traction to get up the steep ramp. There is a good cushion on the rug as well, giving our dog the padding she needs. We ended up stapling the carpet to the ramp.
