The audio is clear. I set the units up at an open mic jam session at a local club for my friends to experience....they were all ecstatic about the quality of the sound....they all wanted the information to purchase their own. I played songs produced by me in my studio...that's why I purchased the Boss Bolt system...so that I can let people hear my music productions with mp3s on my phone and the Boss Bolt system. The 2 units link in stereo by simply turning them both on in proximity to each other and the phone links easy as well. Don't expect an over abundance of bass projected by these little jewels but what you get is clarity and a very even eqing within the units frequency range. The stereo field, depending on placement, is excellent.
