Review: Outhouse trips are now heavenly!! - Ever sat on an ice cold outhouse seat in Canada? Not fun. We are lucky enough to have power in our outhouse. I tried to apply this to the underside of the seat (as directed), but it didn't work well enough, so I modified it. I was able to remove the stickers from the bottom and placed them on top of the seat, covered the seat with adhesive cork paper, and then a clear vinyl adhesive paper (for ease of cleaning). Now, going to the outhouse on a cold day is a pleasure!!! We use it on a medium setting, but if you want some real heat, crank it to high! Toasty! Thank you for this delightful product!!
Review: Temporary solution - I absolutely love this, sadly I've purchased this twice and while it lasted a good few months both times I bought it after a year it had stopped working. I really like the idea of this product but I wish there was a better option for long term use.

**Q: do the stickers go under or on top of toilet seat.**
A: They go under the seat.

**Q: Can I keep it running 24 hours ?**
A: I have left it running 24/7 for about 2 weeks and it is doing OK. Not sure how long I can do that but it is very cold in that back bathroom, which is why I bought it. Love it so far.

A: Yes, per my experience.

**Q: has anyone used this toilet seat warmer? does it work? do they last?**
A: I ordered this product because we, too, have a cold half bath.  I had a "Toastie Tush" before which only lasted one winter and cost $50.  I installed this product as instructed and plugged it in.  I set the temperature dial at about 50%.  It didn't seem to heat up much at all, so I turned it up all the way.  That made a considerable difference, enough that it seemed to heat up the whole bathroom and was actually a little too warm on my tush.  I turned it down some, but the next thing that happened was that the breaker popped, shutting off power to a whole bank of receptacles in more than just the half bath.  I unplugged the unit.  After adjusting the items plugged into that bank of recepts, I decided to plug the seat heater in again.  It didn't work at all, leading me to believe that it had overheated initially and was now worthless.  Since I only received it with the last 2 weeks, I trust Amazon will refund it, since I see the product is now no longer available.

My wife complained about the toilet seat being freezing cold all winter. Instead of spending several hundred dollars on a heated toilet seat I took a chance on this $30 heater. Even with a thick toilet seat this product works great. This heater installed faster and easier than installing a new toilet seat. The heater comes with a long cord which made it to where I didn't have to use an extension cord. My wife is acting like I saved her life with this great product. This heater saved her buns for sure. I would 100% recommend this product to anyone.
