I was looking for a temporary fix until the surgery on the left hip could be done three months later. I would have liked to be able to buy only one insert. One of the reviewers had said that they were interchangeable, but this is not true, as there is a slight arch support on each insert. I did put a right insert into a left pull-on slipper, and it works OK and is not uncomfortable. Haven't tried this in a shoe, however. The insert seems to be well made and will certainly last as long as I need to use it. ### ⭐⭐⭐ Comfortable but slightly less lift than advertised. *by A***P on January 20, 2016* The Bad: So while the picture is correct that from the lip on the side it measures as a 2.5cm lift, your foot will sit into it about .5 - .75cm, so the actual lift is only 1.75cm - 2cm. That doesn't factor in the compression of the part where your heel comes into contact with it. This was disappointing that it wasn't a true 1 inch lift as the description and picture shows.The blue fabric that covers the foam came peeling slightly. As with any insoles, once the fabric starts peeling, it will only continue to peel as it is worn and the shoes are taken on and off.The good: It is very comfortable and actually makes standing for long periods of time much easier. It also doesn't disrupt your ability to wear low top shoes that much. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Comparing Three Different Height Insoles *by V***N on January 18, 2016* As an experiment, I purchased three different height insoles from Amazon last week. This one by FullBorne, was my second favorite of the three. It's also the smallest shape of the three... only a half-sole, covering the heel and part of your arch, but that's it. Nothing in the sole area.Due to it's smaller shape and the fact they are interchangeable between left & right, it's a faster & easier to insert and remove these than other insoles (handy, if you're planning to put them into different shoes each day).Since these insoles only prop you up 1-inch taller (I measured myself to confirm), they will fit in most any shoes (including most tennis shoes). The other two brands I purchased are 1-1/2 inch insoles. When you move up to that height, be warned, some shoes won't work well (your heel pops out of the shoes in the back when walking for some shoes, but not all). And if you move up to 2-inch insoles -- or taller -- you can pretty much only use them in tall boots (i.e., cowboy boots). So if you're like me and never wear anything bigger than chukka boots, stick with height insoles that are 1-1/2" or smaller. (I'd love to add as many inches to my height as possible, but the reality is... most shoes won't accommodate the taller insoles.)Be advised, wearing height insoles will stretch your shoes a bit -- especially the 1-1/2" and taller sizes. If you decide you want to go back to wearing the shoes after you've been wearing them with height insoles for a day or so, the shoes will be looser fitting.All that said, I like these FullBorne 1-inch height insoles and will use them with shoes that won't accommodate 1-1/2" height insoles I purchased.Of the other two brands I purchased -- Flexzion (with the red heel in photos) and Calden/Toto -- I like Flexzion the best for comfort and ease of use (and all important added height). They're soft and skinny, so they're easier to insert than Calden/Toto.Calden/Toto props me up the highest -- a full 1-1/2" taller -- so they fit in fewer shoes and aren't quite as comfortable as Flexzion. Also you have to trim the Calden/Toto insoles so they'll fit in your shoe (I wear a size 9-1/2 mens shoe).
