I bought it as a gift for someone who does projects while sitting in a recliner chair. The length is decent and mostly reaches from arm rest to arm rest, but I would have liked it even better, had it been a few inches longer. The pencil holder is a nice feature. If you want to use this desk for projects that don't require a computer, mouse pad or pens/pencils, you can just turn it over and you have a nice flat surface. It would work for doing small puzzles or games, although there is no lip around the perimeter. This is nice and sturdy and does not flex, so if you have heavy binders or other books you are containing on your lap, this should be sufficient. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I love this lap desk *by B***E on Reviewed in the United States on December 11, 2015* This is really working out for me. I had an old lap desk from target that was pretty big and couldn't find a replacement until I found this. I have enough room for my mouse and a buffer on the left which I need because one of my cats rubs my power cord (I'm afraid it will eventually break) and because I have a few extra inches, he can't get to it and I can put my phone or remote there.
