It took me a while and several back and forth emails with the seller to get to this conclusion (my guess is that the person who wrote a review about the "cheap plastic" had the same defective part). I'm the one that posted the question about removing the cap because that was the first thing that I could think of that may be wrong with the chair before I had talked to the seller so just disregard that.The seller was very nice and offered to send me a replacement for that part so I am looking forward to finally putting my chair together. The seat seems very comfortable from what I can tell by sitting in it without attaching it to the base and the orange-coral color looks pretty much exactly like the picture or what you would expect a coral to be - more pink than orange. Finding a chair with good back support for short people is really difficult but I believe the hole in the back is what makes this chair so comfortable for me since it causes you to naturally sit in a good position (for reference I'm 5ft). ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Cute but Delicate *by L***R on Reviewed in the United States on June 28, 2020* This chair is really cute and comfortable. However, fresh out of the box I found that it had some tiny scratches in the upholstery on the arms, and even a little tear in the fabric. I considered returning it but that can be a hassle with a large item like a chair, and there's no guarantee a second chair wouldn't have similar imperfections. It is also a much darker gray than the photo on Amazon - more of a charcoal.
