But a multi-meter only detects voltage and not pass voltage to be able to light up an LED for example. So with this device, you don't even need to power up your TV or LED that you are testing, you can just have an LED light strip for example not connected to anything, and with this device you place the RED lead on the + of led strip and BLACK lead on the - of the led strip and the led strip will light up after a few seconds, if it doesn't then the led strip is broken. Did I do something wrong because it says no electric shock on it?** A: if you touch the LED bar/bulb at same time as you testing depends on bar you might get shocked since there is current going over it . This is basically a voltage and low electric current generator and monitor.
