These are great and much better than buying a new chair!

The pad is wide enough to replace my old leather pads that have worn out. The screw's head it came with were not wide enough to fit my chair, so I had to add a washer from the old bolt, so keep that in mind if you plan to use this for an office chair. The gel is not like any gel I've ever seen, it's extreemly firm, I'd liken it to vinyl or thick plastic. It has some give to it, but resting on it, it's not going to cradle your arm, it's just going to feel like you're resting it on a table. I feel over time this should break in and eventually be softer, but for right now, it's very firm. I wish there was more choices for arm rests these days for office chairs, instead of plastic scoop shape, plastic flat shape and crescent circle leather.
