Well, I received them today, braced myself as I opened the package, and was very relieved with what I found. There was hardly any smell at all, no need for a respirator as some suggested. Just smelled like brand new shoes to me. Nothing at all like the horror stories I had read in the reviews. I mean, there was some exaggerated drama from some of you about the smell.When I took the shoe out of it's included dust bag, it looked like they could possibly be a little large, (I wear 9.5 - 10.....ordered size 9 in these), tried them on and...........perfect fit!!I never thought I would wear this style shoe, but something about the looked lured me in and I love them. The quality of the shoes seems to be very good. I don't know how long they will last, but I won't be wearing them everyday, and if I get six, eight, or twelve months out of them, then it is a win for me. The only thing I will do is change the shoestrings from the included beige color to a dark grey or black. I just think that will look better for me.Look, I spent 20.00 on these and it may be the best 20.00 I've ever spent.If I can remember, and if I have time, I'll update this review after I've had them for a while.But for now, I'm very pleased with my purchase and would not hesitate recommending these shoes at all.
