He was so excited when I gave it to him. We have been married since 1976 and we never know when one might be called home. He wears the longer and larger chain and I wear the shorter, smaller chain. I thought he would think it was just "too weird" to wear, but he was very much moved that we each have the other half of each other's heart. The wording is beautiful and the quality of this set was far more than I expected. It would make a nice set for a newly married or engaged couple, as the chains are stainless steel. How I wish we had worn them all of these years. My husband is a quiet man. All go and no show, so to see him so excited and he couldn't hug or kiss me enough when I gave him his gift. I have really long hair, so those things like to get stuck.) The pieces together are about the size of a quarter, so they're not too gaudy.
