A couple reviews had complaints so I decided to try what they were complaining about.....#1 - yes cup has a narrower BASE but most cups do - I did NOT find that this knocked over any easier than a foam cup.#2 - lid - I put it on with a full glass and held it upside down over the sink - NO leaks.I bought these so that when I want a cup of water at say the ice cream stand - I won't get a SINGLE USE foam cup that never degrades and takes up room in a landfill. Or..... if I'm at a restaurant and want to take the rest of my iced tea with me - once again NO FOAM cup. A couple are going in the glove box of my vehicles and one for the purse.
