Compared to the Restaurant blend the medium- dark roast has a classic New Orleans blend of coffee & French chicory. It doesn't use the exotic coffee beans. **Q: How long is the expiry date after purchase?** A: the bottom of the can shows the best before date. it is at least one year out.this is by far my favorite coffee. it is all i drink at home. **Q: Is this coffee packed in real metal cans?** A: The can is metal with a pull top seal, covered by white plastic. There was a change in the packaging, I don't know how many years back but since I've been buying it. You used to have to open with a can opener. It is still very good coffee. Hope that helps. **Q: Is the grind coarse or fine?** A: It's too fine - about 1/3 of the can is fine enough to either clog a paper filter or go through a mesh filter, which is clogging up my coffee maker and causing it to overflow.
