I use it personally for magic tricks and play with it in my hands and roll it on my fingers. It's not sharp or anything, it feels great in the hands. I show off how this particular "silver dollar" looks different and use that misdirection to how I feel fit. Usually people will look at it for such a long time I could get away with a lot. Handy, visual, and interesting. Most people don't know about hobo nickels and that in itself makes for nice conversation. I was quite happy with this purchase!
