It's absolutely full of little bits of information, importantly all from canon, if it's not stuff mentioned in the main books, then it comes either from Pottermore or from J.K Rowling during interviews and convention panels etc. It goes pretty deep too, literally if a character is mentioned at any time in the books, even if in passing, then they will be included in this and you'll likely find out a ton of more info than you ever thought you needed. It's all laid out clearly and in alphabetical order and there are even a few extras thrown in for good measure with the Black family tree and the history of the American school of magic etc. My one gripe would be that they don't source the extra info, but it's no big deal, I just think it would have been interesting to know where it came from exactly.
