The sardines are individually packed by skilled local labour, most of whom are women, with generations of the same family working alongside another. NO ADDITIVES OR CHEMICALS, NO DYES OR PRESERVATIVES. NO FARMED FISH. A GREAT SOURCE OF PROTEIN, OMEGA-3 AND HEALTHY NUTRIENTS: Sardines are naturally high in Protein and Unsaturated Fat, Omega-3 Fatty Acids, Vitamin D, B12, Calcium, Selenium, Phosphorus, RNA and DNA.

Review: Not properly gutted - I'm docking off a star because the top of the sardine near the head is not properly gutted. There are still gill parts and other innards which impart a bitter taste. If you can scrape these out yourself, the flavor will improve, but you shouldn't have to do it. Apart from the top portion, the rest of the sardine tastes just fine. However, the next time I buy sardines, I will be looking for other brands like La Gondola or Connetable or Parmentier.

Best sardines I've ever had. proper fish in proper olive oil (I hate sunflower oil!)

I'm docking off a star because the top of the sardine near the head is not properly gutted. There are still gill parts and other innards which impart a bitter taste. If you can scrape these out yourself, the flavor will improve, but you shouldn't have to do it. Apart from the top portion, the rest of the sardine tastes just fine. However, the next time I buy sardines, I will be looking for other brands like La Gondola or Connetable or Parmentier.
