The hat is a bargain at this price, but that naturally means that it was made in China, if that matters to you.I have other Trilby hats from Bailey of Hollywood and Henschel. This particular hat fits about a half-size larger than the XL that I normally wear. If you are between sizes, order the smaller one.The hat is flexible, which is nice. You can flip the front edge of the brim up or down depending on your styling preference. On this particular hat, I prefer it flipped down, but I have other Trilbys that look better up. It will also flex to accommodate a head that is a different shape of oval or round (the circumference of your head I mean...) I have a true straw hat that is quite rigid and it either fits the wearer or it won't, if you know what I mean, and the front edge of the brim on that hat is inflexible.The pinches in the front of the hat are less "pinched" than other Trilby hats that I own, not that it matters, just making a note of it. They are also physically smaller.
