I was looking for bath/pool toys for my toddlers and baby. I wanted something with no holes so there’s no chance of mold. These are just the thing! My baby eats on them and I know it’s safe and my toddlers love placing the ducks on the floaties and think it’s so fun to hook them all together and pull them along in the water. However, the rubber duck we had was quite big and she had trouble holding them - so I bought these. I looked for BPA free, phthalate free rubber ducks but could only find these BPA free ones (I did find an expensive rubber duck made from actual rubber though).The size of these rubber ducks is great for little hands and our daughter is obsessed with them - she likes them so much that I'm actually a bit uncomfortable with it since she has them in her mouth so much and they are not phthalate free.I may buy another set sometime anyway - our now 9 month old enjoys the 5 little ducks song so we'd need 2 more to play the song with the ducks (since we have a big "mama duck" plus these three ;-)The ducks are cute but have some imperfections in the mouth area which I first thought might be an issue but I checked several times and it simply seems to be from the molding process or something like that but is not impacting the quality.The deducted star is for the rings. I'm not sure about these. First, the little hook seems flimsy. I am concerned that it might come off. Second, with how open the hook is, it may make it easier to connect the rings but it also disconnects frustratingly easy. Our daughter is too young to connect the rings herself but enjoys it when I connect them and she can move them around. But they always immediately disconnect. Maybe she'll find interest in reconnecting them constantly in the future, then I'd upgrade my rating - but I doubt it. It's more likely that at some point she'll completely loose her patience with them and I have to take them away.I recommend the ducks but wish they came BPA plus phthalate free. In addition, I wish they came also in a version without the rings, either alone or in combination with another educational bath toy - I like the idea of the rings but now that I'm considering buying more ducks, the problems that I have with the included rings keep me from buying another set since I don't think I'll ever have a use for them. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars Cute and quality water toys *by B***Y on Reviewed in the United States on July 11, 2022* I was looking for rubber duckies for my 6 months old to reach for in a pan of water during “tummy time” and looked high and low for ones that would be a manageable size for his little hands but not so small as to pose a choking hazard. These duckies and mini life preserver rings are perfect! The duckies fit perfectly in the rings and both are easy to clean. They are also super cute - he loves to pick up the duckies and is even more enthusiastic about the colorful rings.One small thing to note is the rings have little plastic hooks (that are actually part of the ring itself) that allow you to string the rings together. Super fun concept and I love putting them together and then placing the duckies on top to see baby grab the duckies off of each ring. There might be a point where I might feel more comfortable keeping the rings out of my child’s reach, though. Right now I when he puts the rings in his mouth as babies do, I can easily and quickly shift it so he has a part of the ring in his mouth that doesn’t have a hook. I don’t think it’s likely that a child would be able to bite off the small soft plastic hooks that are part of the rings, but that’s the only part of the product that I’m monitoring just to ensure baby’s safety.
