Most of these boxes hold 100 rounds each until you get into the larger size rifle calibers like 7.62X39 which those boxes hold 50 rounds. These boxes are made solid and latch snug every time. They even come with stick on labels so you can easily see what caliber ammo you have in it plus it also has a card that you can fill out with all the information like the brand ammo, grain, etc. and it lays inside the box on top of the ammo so you can keep up with different types of the same caliber, like if you have some that is for practice shooting and others that you would use for home defense. I like to eliminate the cardboard boxes and place the ammo in these boxes to be able to carrying more easily in my range bag, or store in another locked container during transport or short term storage.
