Liquid Gold is a warm spicy but transparent perfume which can be worn in any season. It is not too heavy for summer evenings. I do not sense the amber, which is a good thing for me. The cinnamon, cardamom and saffron carry through to the dry down where they join vanilla and cashmeran for a smooth finish. Liquid gold is not a thick, cozy winter perfume. It feels like a spicy aromatic which is easily unisex. The oud is very gentle, maybe a bit mentholated/medicinal. Saint Cuir is about as pure cow hide leather as I've smelled in a leather goods shop. I cannot discern any individual notes except leather. It is not too raw nor skanky. It is dry, unsweetened and refined. Great on its own or layered with others. This feels more masculine, like Ombre Leather, but of course, anyone can wear. I am enjoying this and will use it for cooler weather, most likely layered with a little sweetness. Wood Sultan is a very masculine perfume which features cedar, sandalwood and oud very well. The cedar in not sharp and there is a slight mentholated/medicinal feel to the base of this perfume which might be from the oud or the patchouli. The woods are all well balanced and the oud is not as strong as some of my middle eastern perfumes. I am wearing this in summer so the experience will be different in cooler weather. Wood Sultan gives me a similar feel as Guerlain's Songe De Bois D'Ete. Not a dupe of course. I will wear this in any weather because it is dry and unsweetened. Overall, good quality and a very classy perfumes. The bottle is very beautiful and a lot larger than I was expecting, so that's something. The smell, while not the worst I've ever experienced, wasn't what I was hoping for. It lingers for a long while after application. You won't need much, so it will last you a while. But, for me, that wasn't a good thing. I got this as a gift, but I don't want this person to smell like how I would imagine an old, Victorian-era home library would smell after a group of cigar-smoking older gentlemen recently left the room.
