The image makes it look a lot longer than it really is. I wondered about that when reading the description. The body actually is square not rectangular looking, which fine. I am very happy with this item. Very soft, nice stitching, and actually smells nice (NO factor or chemical smell). Our 18 month old is going through a sleep regression and is clingy at bedtime.
