Less effort than other fins I've used. They gain this advantage because they are long and flexible. They feel great on, very comfortable and are light weight. I have fairly small, narrow feet and wear between a 6 and 7 and i got size 37/38 EU and it says 5/6 US. It has an open toe so if you are about a 7 in womens, this size might be the best fit. I have not tried them on in the water yet but I will update my review when I have.
