This book is about the complete life of Isaac Newton and it is written in a conversational way. Not fact after fact but an easy flow of "story" about his life from his very early childhood until his death. What a wonderful way to learn about somebody - as if someone who knew him was telling you about him ,from a personal knowlege. This could definitly be for a much older child. I think I would use this for even an 8th or 9th grader. P.S. I wondered if my son would remember anything of the man. The book is written so well that my son will still bring up things about Sir Issac Newton when we are study the solar system or gravity or being knighted. Review: Read the book and also listened to audiobook - We have read this book as part of our Ambleside Online school work and it is a favorite of all three of my children. Joyce has written a beautiful story and you really get a sense of Newtons life, especially his childhood and the things that inspired him. We also had the opportunity to listen to the audiobook and Mike is a wonderful reader.
