Where are the additional cars and track pieces that are mentioned in the ad and reviews ?** A: The track doesn't have to be flat. We put socks under it to make little jumps! Also our floor at home is bumpy due to old floorboards.The extra pieces are coming. In the kickstarter, some of the sets had more pieces than the basic set. The basic has more than enough to get started with, with pits and chicane to give a challenge. **Q: Is this better than anki overdrive?** A: If you want to truly drive cars, and have the feel of racing cars around a track, this is the choice. If you don't really care about the skill of driving a car around a track then Anki might be better suited. To me they are not really comparable, even though they seem so. I would never want to attempt to drive a car on a racetrack with a touchscreen, because I know it would not work. Which means there is computer assist with Anki which ruins it for me as "a fun way to drive small cars around a track." RealFX also has computer assist, but when it is turned off you are left with a real steering wheel and a real RC control system that allows for very precise and fun control of the car on the track. Real FX Racing is legit. **Q: Must you steer the car or can you use it like a slot car for younger kids?** A: You don't have to steer the car to keep it on the track and you can use the throttle to speed up on the straightaways and slow down on the curves. The only thing is that if you don't steer it would be hard to pass any other cars on the track since the AI assist tries to keep the car in the center of the track. **Q: If the track image could be duplicated (white inside fading to black outside with red boarders), could someone make their own track pieces?** A: It's possible but quite tricky! You don't need the red borders, only the black to white. If you're printing on a home printer, be really careful to match up the grey that runs down the middle of the track and the black and white. You also need a nice smooth gradient, if it comes out as grey bars, the car will just about manage but it's not much fun to drive! Expect to print loads and loads before you get it just right. Also, be careful what you print onto. We found that standard home printer paper doesn't give much grip. The car tires are pretty grippy but home printer paper is really smooth! I'm sure there's a clever way around that, we just enjoyed the smoothness (pretend it's the rain soaked section) for something different. If you're keen to make completely different tracks, I can recommend using the cars in the R/C mode, which turn it into a standard RC car. Then you can make tracks with whatever you have to hand!
