Can I then add the water to his food?** A: ION*Pet should be added to 1/2 a cup of filtered water. While we cannot recommend usage outside of adding ION*Pet to water, many customers report adding it directly to their pet's food, to ensure the entire amount is consumed. **Q: Is the formula different than the one marketed for people?** A: I think it might be slightly different because it's for canines. But it is pretty much the same ingredients that I can tell by looking at the ingredient lists on both bottles. I have an old bottle of Restore and it says under the ingredient list it has amino acids (I think? I don't have the bottle in front of me) but I don't see that listed under the pet's ingredient list. Then again I only have the older human bottles that say Restore and I only have the newer version for Pet's that says ION Biome. **Q: Does this need to be refrigerated once opened?** A: ION* does not require refrigeration as there are no ingredients that can "go bad" nor can ION* grow bacteria.
