My family has always been big on taffy and we enjoy trying new pieces, flavors, and styles from different locations. I bought this particular brand on a whim, as I hadn't yet tried any from this particular supplier. As soon as I opened the box, I could already tell this would be the last time I ordered this particular variety.- The bag contents were partially melted and had resolidified. Not the kind of melting you would see from heat exposure in transport, rather the type of melting that clearly happened in a warehouse somewhere. About a third of the bag contents were covered in purple melted taffy - rendering this portion of the bag useless. More bothersome, since the melting clearly had not happened in transport - someone in the warehouse saw the defective bag (it couldn't be missed) and chose to pick, pack, and ship it anyway.- More than half of the pieces remaining (after the melted portion was disposed of) were only half wrapped - which caused the taffy to have a hardened, stale quality. Proper gourmet taffy should have a bit of give when pinched. Even if it has been exposed to cold elements, once it reaches room temperature the give should return - unfortunately this particular taffy arrived hardened and stay hardened.- The flavoring used is of inferior quality - true gourmet taffy has a solid flavor profile through at least 5 chews. This particular brand has a light profile which quickly begins to dissipate on the back half of chew 2.In summation: If you are looking for a good taffy, even at a lower price-point, I would not recommend this variety. ### ⭐⭐ Buyer Beware! Make sure you know what you're buying! *by S***N on Reviewed in the United States on November 29, 2016* I had hoped that this taffy would be better than the last time I purchased taffy online. I found what looked to be completely different taffy. The taffy was highly rated and I decided to go for it! When the taffy arrived, my daughter and I opened the package and she looked up at me and started to cry! (She's eight). She said " it's that yucky kind!"! Sure enough, even though it was sold as a different taffy, it was Taffy Town Taffy. It was even wepped in their wrappers! If you look at the ad, the taffy isn't wrapped in Taffy Town wrappers. If you like this type of not real soft, uneven and weird flavored taffy, then by all means purchase it. I just think people should know what they are getting before they buy. Look at the photo, can you tell which is which? Lol! Didn't think so! ### ⭐⭐ A Mess *by G***N on Reviewed in the United States on May 24, 2017* They taste ok, but when I opened the bag there were 2 large "chunks" of 10-15 pieces stuck together. It was a total mess trying to separate them as the taffy and paper were all mixed up together, so I ended up throwing away 20-30 pieces.
