It's a lightweight pencil that uses a twist type eraser like Faber-Castell pencils have. You twist the top and it exposes more of the eraser. The pencil is light, with most of the weight at the tip, making it bottom "heavy". It writes well, the rubber isn't too soft or hard. The pencil is also pocket safe as the tip retracts. It also means you can tuck the sleeve away when not in use, so it will neither poke holes in pockets nor get bent.I'm on my fourth or fifth one of these over the past couple of decades.
