Is it insulated?** A: No, it is not cool to the touch outside after boiling water, neither is the Cuisinart one that I have. I didn;t know this kind of feature existed in stainless. I have an insulated thermos-like lidded tea decanter that keeps liquids quite hot.I just read the previous customer comment about this kettle leaking right out of the box. Mine does not leak, but I had a plastic "chefmate" one that did eventually. It leaked from a seam in the middle, the element was on the bottom of the pot. I've never experienced a metal pot leaking. **Q: I brought one on March, it is broken now. Is there any solution?** A: I'm just sorry I wasn't able to return mine in time. I was away and missed the deadline. It's not a good product. **Q: Is the inside of the kettle all stee? Some have plastic indicators inside? Does this one all steel with no plastic?** A: Yes it is all steel. The only plastic on the inside is at the very top (the handle joint).
